Amongst the leaves and papers dry,
a host of demons rule the sky
Don't feed them as they flap on by,

The subjects of a maddened king,
give heed – you'll hear the caged bird sing

The King sits low in maddened gloom
inside the precincts of his room
saying, “Dreadful, awful,

The King declares a Royal War -
“they'll never get past my front door”

But still they come in, one by one,
with armaments all set to stun
And menace dark: they coo as one
and swoop on city streets
Invisible to you or I,
they would not bloody let it lie

Don't ask for whom this chance does call,
